This design by the smart folks over at Advanced Elements has the benefits of a rigid bow and stern frame, coupled with the versatility provided with the interchangeable decks. This kayak features very comfortable seating, and extremely durable fabric.

Advanced Elements Advancedframe Convertible Inflatable Kayak - Easy StorageIt is surprisingly easy to inflate (5 minutes max with a hand pump), and is even quicker to deflate.

Once deflated it stores easily, and is ideal for those that do not have enough storage space for a hard body kayak.

When used in single person mode, it has plenty of leg space, and storage room. Even with the two seater deck installed, there is ample space.

The one thing I really don’t like about this kayak, is the sheer weight. It weighs close to 60 pounds, and can be tough to handle by oneself. I will also say that drying out the boat can be a bit of a pain, as one needs to completely disassemble it.

For the size it tracks really well, and was a good bit faster than I would have expected. It can handle wind, chop and tides, and generally behaves quite well on any type of water. While it doesn’t quite cut through the water like a hardshell canoe, it handles really well.

The construction of this kayak is very durable, and it handles rough landings without flinching. On top of a very well built kayak, you are not likely to find any better after-sales service from the Advanced Elements guys.

Advanced Elements Advancedframe Convertible Inflatable Kayak - Looking GoodThe Advanced Elements Advancedframe Convertible Inflatable Kayak is a very sturdy, well built kayak. The price is on the steep side, but you get a seriously good kayak for the price.

If you are looking for a stable, durable kayak that can fit two comfortably, and is easy to store, this might just be what you are looking for.
